ROBERT TITUS (Hasie)
Senior Colour Technician
If there’s anything to know about colour matching, Hasie knows it. In fact his eagle eye often puts our colour mixing machines to the test! Hasie has completed courses on paint preparation, product solutions and technical colour mixing and matching. Along with years of experience, and a friendly, professional approach, Hasie keeps the colour mixing counter running like a dream.
A true “Plett Local”, Hasie grew up in Piesang Valley in the 1960’s and 70’s and finished high school in Knysna. He loves watching sport and spending time with his family.
GERMAIN FICK (Bassie)
Colour Technician / Sales Consultant
Bassie arrived at Specialist Paint Centre as a delivery driver, but in no time it became clear that he had a great eye for colour. After completing the Product Solutions and Perfect Preparations courses, Bassie hung up the bakkie keys and took up position at the colour counter. Whether it’s colour you’re mixing, selecting or a paint product you’re needing advice about, Bassie’s on it in a flash.
A born and bred “Plett local”, he was raised in Keurboomstand by his grandparents and matriculated at Plett Secondary School. Brilliant with colour, great with clients, Bassie’s a dependable member of the Plett team.
PAUL JANSEN
Senior Sales Consultant
Chances are Paul’s going to be one of the first staff members you’ll meet as you enter our Plett store. Knowledgeable, practical and equipped with years of paint product experience - throw any query Paul’s way and he’s onto a solution in a snap. A team player, Paul ensures that our front counter offers brilliant service, solid advise and great customer care.
Born in Joburg, but raised in Plett, Paul loves rugby (Bulls supporter!), music and a good potjiekos. He’s also a brilliant dad to his three kids. An ace on the dance floor, Paul’s eagerly awaiting the next staff party to show off some of his latest dance moves.
ANDREA GRADWELL
Senior Sales Executive / Colour Consultant
Our “queen of colour”, Andrea is mostly out and about on product consultations with clients, builders, architects and interior decorators. She started her career at Specialist Paint Centre over 10 years ago and quickly made a name for herself as the go-to-person for on-site colour selection, colour matching, colour concepts and product specifications.
Born and raised in Plett, Andrea has her hands full being a mom to two young children. She loves the outdoors - hiking and sailing whenever she gets the chance. Always helpful, client focussed and with a wealth of paint product knowledge behind her, she’s an asset to the Dulux Plett team.
MARLIN TITUS (Mielie)
Sales Consultant
Paint products, paint hardware, solid advice - and all with a smile - this sums Marlin up to a tee. You’ll find him mostly behind the front counter or sorting out stock in the store, otherwise he’s out on the road, running deliveries to sites around town.
Any product or in-store query you’ve got, chat to Marlin, he’ll help you out in no time. He’s knowledgeable, energetic and a valued part of the team.
Born and raised in Plett, Marlin has a large circle of friends and loves heading off fishing on the weekends. He enjoys his sports and is always game for our staff braai’s outside the store on Friday afternoons.
MNYAMEZEHI NANGU (Eric)
Barista / Assistant Sales Consultant
Eric’s morning shot of espresso or cappuccino, keeps Plett’s painting trade operating at maximum output. A barista of note, you’ll find Eric mostly shrouded in a cloud of steam behind our coffee counter. That said, he’s always on hand to serve clients with a friendly smile and a gentle manner.
Eric is a humble man, meaning we’ll have to blow his trumpet for him. An incredible athlete, he’s completed no less than 10 Comrades Marathon’s - each time awarded with a Bill Rowan medal. His best comrades time stands at 7h30 - what an achievement!
Eric was born and educated in Gqeberha and has lived in Plett for many years. If he’s not out running, he loves watching soccer and rugby.
CHRISTO MAY
Sales Consultant
You'd go a long way to find a more pleasant, attentive and helpful sales consultant than Christo. Sharp-witted, he's always on hand at our front counter, ready to offer you solid advice and great service. Through his decade of experience with paint products and hardware, plus a good understanding of applications, if you're needing pointers on the best solution to your paint problem, speak to Christo.
A born and bred Capetonian, he arrived in Plett in the late 90's and finished his schooling here. Not only does he love sport - Grand Prix in particular, but he enjoys the outdoors as well as camping. For him, braaing with his family is the ultimate way to spend a weekend.
Knysna Team
TONY GRADWELL (Tony Dulux)
Senior Manager
Aptly known as “Tony Dulux”, Tony Gradwell’s been in the paint business forever. With over 40 years of experience in paint products, hardware and contracting, there’s not much in this industry that he hasn’t seen before.
Tony joined Specialist Paint Centre in Plett in 2000, five years later he was instrumental in setting up the Knysna store, which he’s grown to be one of the town’s premium paint suppliers. With a strong focus on customer service, teamwork and attention to detail, the store continues to pull strong support from existing and new Knysna clients.
A true Garden Route local, Tony grew up in Plett and sails competitively as well as mountain bikes. His grandchildren keep him on his toes and he never misses a chance to spend time with them.
EDGAR BEAUZICK
Colour Technician
If it’s colour expertise you’re after, then look no further than Edgar Beauzick, who runs the colour counter with expert precision and efficiency.
Edger joined Specialist Paint Centre 16 years ago and after completing the Product Solutions and Perfect Preparations courses, quickly gained a reputation as the go-to person for colour matching and colour solutions. Edgar’s repertoire doesn’t stop there. A strong focus on customer service and working under pressure, his calm and clear communication and ease with which he handles any potential paint problems has made him a vital member of the Knysna team.
A born and bred Garden Route local, Edgar grew up in Plett and enjoys spending time outdoors with with his family in his spare time.
PIET KLAASEN
Assistant Sales Consultant / Driver
More than 20 years ago, Piet joined the Dulux team as the “maintenance man” at the Plett store. He quickly worked his way into the sales team where he built up a great rapport amongst customers and tradesman alike.
When a position became available for the driver and sales consultant in Knysna, Piet grabbed the opportunity and is now responsible for deliveries of paint supplies throughout town. Ask Piet a Knysna Street name and he’ll know exactly how to get there, ask him about paint products and he’s on hand to assist.
A natural tinkerer and mechanical “Mr Fixit”, Piet enjoys mechanics and working on motor cars in his spare time. He’s also partial to a good braai and spending time with his family over weekends.
Randall Daries
Sales Assistant / Barrista
Whether Randall’s brewing your next espresso at the coffee counter or getting you the right paint product, he’s always doing it with a smile and a dash of speed... no surprise at all really, but we’ll get to that later.
Randall joined the sales team in 2015 and has built up an exceptional knowledge of paint products and paint hardware. A brilliant multi-tasker, he takes on anything that his team members and customers throw his way and will gladly assist you in getting the right product for your painting, coating or water proofing project.
A natural team player, Randall’s spare time revolves mainly around soccer. A winger with exceptional pace, he plays for Plett FC, Plettenberg Bay’s local football club. Needless to say, when he’s not at work he’s either training, playing matches or following local and international football games.
LEE-ROY HENNIES
Sales Consultant
Nothing’s ever too much trouble for Lee-Roy. A relatively new recruit to the Specialist Paint Centre team, his easy-going manner and commitment to the task at hand makes him an asset to the Knysna store and its customers.
Lee-Roy has built up a reputable knowledge of paint products, hardware and paint applications and is always ready to assist clients in resolving their project challenges, and putting them in the right track with the right product. Now that’s customer service for you!
Born and bred in Knysna, Lee-Roy enjoys socialising with family and friends. He is a father to a young son who keeps him super-busy in his spare time.
